Rolls, began issuing motor drivers’ licences today. The number issued at this office last year was 637. BRIDGE AFTERNOON. On Thursday Mrs Wakely, in the interests of the Haunui Croquet Club, gave a most\enjoyable bridge afternoon at her residence. First prize was won by Mrs Barry, with Mrs Rea (2). Before leaving Miss Card, president of the club, thanked Mrs Wakely on behalf of the members. Afternoon tea was provided.
