ORDER OF FORESTERS
COURT LOYAL ENTERPRISE. FORTNIGHTLY MEETING. The fortnightly meeting of the Court Loyal Enterprise Lodge of Foresters was held in the Foresters’ Hall, Masterton, on Monday night when there was a good attendance of members, presided over by C.R. Bro. R. L. Crocker. The sick visitors reported that the members on the sick list were progressing favourably. The secretary reported that three members had declared on the funds and two had declared off. Owing to the leader of the W.E.A. debating club being out of town the debate which was to have taken place after the lodge meeting was postponed until May 23. It was decided that the nomination of trustees take place on June 6, when the-other officers of the lodge will be nominated. The District Executive notified the lodge that the annual meeting would be held on June 1. Bro. G. G. Jackson was appointed delegate to represent the lodge at the annual meeting. Bro. R. Davis reported on the annual meeting of the U.F.S. Council. Bro. R. L. Crocker reported on Court Kopuaranga’s Jubilee. Bro. C. A. Leigh reported on the indoor bowls and on the Saturday night card tournament. stating that both were being well patronised. Bro. G. G. Jackson reported on the Dispensary Board meeting.
The lodge decided to enter a card team to compete in the Friendly Societies’ Card tournament. Bro. R. Davies Was appointed captain of the team. All members wishing to take part in the tournarhent are requested to communicate with Bro. Davies as early as possible. The tournament will commence on May 18.
Sick pay and accounts amounting to £76 10s were passed for payment.
