Brown reports as follows for the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. today:— Barograph, 30.63; shade temperature, maximum 54.3, minimum 34.3; terrestrial, 26.0; sunshine, 3 hours 54 minutes; rain, 5 points; frost, 4.4 degrees. Mr H. M. Boddington reports that 8 points of rain fell at Solway during the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. today.
The indications are for south-east-erly moderate winds prevailing, later the' indications are for variable and moderate breezes. There is a prospect of fair weather, milder day but the night will probably be very cold with frosts inland. Barometer rising.
