CARTERTON
(“Times-Age” Special.) GASWORKS COMMITTEE. At a special meeting of the Carterton Borough Gasworks Committee a tender was accepted for the roofing of the engine room. The State Coal Depot notified the committee that on account of the increased cost consequent upon the arrangements with the Miners’ Union the price of State coal had been increased by 6d per ton. PERSONAL. Mrs H. J. McKenzie, of Clareville, left today on a visit to .Waipukurau. Miss J. Munro, who for some time has been on the staff of Croydon Hospital, has resigned her position and left for her home at Dannevirke yesterday.
