The Mayor of Christchurch (Mr J. W. Beanland) has been pressed into service by a resident of Dresden, Germany, Mr V. Karsebqom, who is anxious to trace his wife’s relations. Mr Karseboom wants to find Mr W. W. Johnson or any of his descendants. The address given was 232 St Asaph Street, but, says Mr Karseboom, that was 40 years old. A question of involved relationship is concerned, for, in the words of the letter: "This gentleman (Mr Johnson) was married to the sister of my father-in-law. His wife was Caroline Friedman, and he married in Germany while on a visit here. They then returned to Christchurch.”
