AIR RAIDS
MEMORANDUM ISSUED IN BRITAIN. VARIOUS WARNING SIGNALS. (British Official Wireless.) (Recd This Day, 11.15 a.m.) RUGBY, May 6. A memorandum issued by the Home Office on air raid warning signals provides both for general warnings over a considerable area by siren and local street signals, to be operated by police and air raid wardens. The types of signals for raid warnings and “raiders passed” messages, and also street signals for gas warnings and for cancelling gas warnings are all specified.
