NAVAL DESERTERS
SEVEN OF DORSETSHIRE’S CREW. POLICE SEARCH IN NORTH QUEENSLAND. (Recd. This Day, 10.15 a.m.) BRISBANE, May 6. The police of North Queensland are searching for seven of the crew of the British cruiser Dorsetshire, which sailed on Thursday from Cairns for Hong Kong. Five of the men disappeared while the Dorsetshire was at Cairns, and two of a party of four deserters who were being escorted from Sydney broke away from the guard at Cardwell.
