WEDDING

PETERSEN—PICKERING The wedding took place recently ?.l St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Levin, of Marjory, younger daughter of Mr and Mrs E. H. Pickering and Max Sinclair, younger son of Mr E. Petersen and the late Mrs Petersen, of Levin and late of Masterton. Entering the church with her father the bride made a pretty picture dressed in cream velvet cut on slim fitting lines and falling into a long train. Her long tulle veil was held in place with a coronet of orange blossoms. The ceremony was performed by the Rev J. Davie and the wedding music was played by the organist, Mrs Coleman. The bride was attended by her sister, Mrs Arneil, as matron of honour, and Misses Shirly and Brice as bridesmaids. All were attired in pretty lettuce green velvet frocks simply made. They wore velvet halo hats with green veils and carried bouquets of cherry red dahlias.

The duties of best man and groomsmen were carried out by the bride’s three brothers R., E. and T. Pickering, respectively. The ushers were Messrs Petersen and Pickering.

Following the wedding ceremony Mr and Mrs Pickering entertained a large number of guests in the district hall. After the reception Mr and Mrs Petersen left by car on their honeymoon, the bride being smartly attired in a grey tailored costume, grey hat and royal blue accessories. The future home of Mr and Mrs Max Petersen will be in Waipawa.-
