PRIMA DONNA BREAKS DOWN. SUFFERING FROM CHILL. LONDON, May 4. There was an unexpected drama at the Covent Garden Opera House when the prima donna, Lotte Lehmann, standing on the stage alone in the first act of “Der Rosenkavalier,” broke off her song, threw up her hands, and cried: “I can’t go on!" The curtain was lowered and Madame Konetzni, who is due to- make her London debut temorow and was sitting in the stalls, hurriedly changed and took, up the part where Madame Lehmann left off. Madame Lehmann is suffering from a chill.
