WEDDING AT DOORN
REVIVAL OF PRE-WAR SPLENDOUR. EX-KAISER WEARS UNIFORM OF PRUSSIAN GUARD. AMSTERDAM, May 4. Pre-war splendour was revived at the wedding of Prince Louis Ferdinand and Princess Kyra at Doorn. The exKaiser wore the uniform of the Prussian Guards and the ex-Crown Prince the uniform of the Death’s Head Hussars. The bride’s father, the Grand Duke Cyril, who in 1924 proclaimed himself Czar, wore a pre-war uniform. The Hohenzollern standard was flying over Doorn, the only place in the world where it is still displayed.
