TRANSPORT SERVICE
GOVERNMENT ACQUISITION CONFIRMED The taking over by the Government of the transport service of the Highways Transport Co Ltd., between Masterton and Wellington was confirmed today by the local representative of the company. No alteration will be made in the running of the service in the meantime. The company’s affairs were taken over as from the beginning of the month.
It is understood that other goods services operating in the district will be gradually absorbed by the Government.
