f APPEAL FOR ADDITIONAL MEMBERS THIRTY-FIRST ANNIVERSARY OF FOUNDATION A campaign by the Plunket Society for an increased membership, on the occasion of the thirty-first anniversary of its foundation at Dunedin by the late Sir Truby King and Lady King, is to be launched by her Excellency Lady Galway in a short broadcast from Station IYA Auckland, on the evening of Saturday next. Other radio addresses are to follow on later days, from May 9 to May 14, the speakers including Mr James Begg, Dominion President of the Plunket Society, Miss Mary King (who is to speak from 2YA Wellington on the evening of May 10), Mrs Cecil Wood and Mrs J. C. Allan.
The society’s appeal is to be forwarded also through the Press, and it is hoped, by means of a moving film made by the Government Publicity Department.
