DOG TRIALS

MASTERTON CLUB’S ANNUAL CONTESTS. EVENTS AT TE ORE ORE. The annual dog trials of the Masterton Collie Club opened on Mr G. Shaw’s property, Te Ore Ore, this morning before a large attendance of spectators and others. The judge is Mr J. S. Tait, of Dannevirke. The first event to be decided, the longhead, will probably be finished this afternoon and a start will be made tomorrow with the shorthead and yarding event, while the huntaway will be decided on Friday. Splendid entries have come to hand for the various events and the meeting promises to be most successful.
