IT’S MOTHER’S DAY ON SUNDAY!

It is to Mother our thoughts will turn next Sunday, on the annual celebration of Mother s Day, when we are given an opportunity to express in tangible form our loyalty, gratitude and affection for her. Although originally Mothering Sunday was an English custom, in its modern conception it originated in the U.S.A., where, by Federal statute, Mother’s Day was in 1913 fixed for the second Sunday in May. Since then it has become a fixed anniversary in the hearts

and thoughts of sons and daughters throughout the world.

Though we are not demonstrative by nature, Mother’s Day should be made a special occasion to give happiness to Mother with gift, thought and gesture.
