SHEEPSKIN SALES
PRICES AT DUNEDIN (By Telegraph—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, May 3. The Dunedin Woolbrokers’ Association reports that the fortnightly sheepskin sale was held today, when medi-um-sized catalogues were offered to a small attendance of buyers. There was fair competition for first-quality full-woolled crossbred and halfbred skins, and these sold on a par with late ruling rates, short wools being from par to a shade easier. Faulty sorts, however, were neglected and showed a drop of Id to IJd a pound on previous sales. Quotations are as follows: — Halfbred full wools, to 9£d; halfbred three-quarter wools, to BJd; halfbred half-wools, to halfbred quar-ter-wools, to 6d; crossbred full wools, to 7Jd; crossbred three-quarter-wools, to 7Jd; crossbred half-wools, to 6?d; crossbred three-quarter-wools, to 5Jd; halfbred hoggets, to 8d; crossbred hoggets, to 7Jd; first pelts, to 4Jd; second pelts to 2§d; fine crossbred full wools, to BJd; fine crossbred three-quarter-wools, to 7£d; fine crossbred half-wools, to 6|d; fine crossbred quarter-wools, to sjd; crossbred dead and damaged, 3d to 5Jd; fine crossbred, dead and damaged, 8d to 6td; halfbred dead and damaged, 5d to 7id; half-bred lambs, to 7£d, crossbred lambs, to 63 d.
