CLEAR SKY SPOILS OPENING OF SEASON. CONDITIONS IN CANTERBURY. (By Telegraph-—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH. This Day. A clear sky and a lack of wind spoilt the opening of the duck shooting season at Lake Ellesmere, the largest duck area in Canteiburj. Small bags resulted. The Hons. R. Semple and P. C. Webb followed their usual custom of putting in a day’s shooting at the opening of the season.
