MODERN FERRY

COMPLETE CONTROL GIVEN BY PROPELLERS. (British Official Wireless). RUGBY, April 30. An interesting feature of the new Southern Railway ferry boat for the conveyance of holiday-makers, motorcars and other vehicles and merchandise from Lymington to the Isle of Wight, is that it is equipped with Voch Schneider propellers, which enable it to move forward, backward, obliquely or broadside on as required. It has propellers at each end, but no rudders, being steered by the propellers. /
