UNAUTHORISED ENTRY
MAN CHARGED IN COURT TODAY FOUND IN REGENT THEATRE Robert William Reay, described as a painter, appeared in the Masterton Magistrate's Court this morning, before Mr J. Caselberg, J.P., charged with breaking and entering the Regent Theatre, Masterton. On the application of Senior-Ser-geant G. A. Doggett, who appeared for the police, accused was remanded until May 10. No application was made for bail. It appears that Reay entered the Regent Theatre about midnight last night, and when he found the manager in the office he is alleged to have said: *'l have come to tell you that the back door is open.” Just then a constable on duty tried the front doors and when he flashed his torch Reay made off towards the rear of the theatre. He was lated found hiding in one of the dressing rooms. He was in his stocking feet.
