RIFLE SHOOTING

GREYTOWN DEFEATS PETONE A team from the Greytown Rifle Club visited Trentham on Saturday and fired a match against the Petone Rifle Club. Greytown won by 884 to 867. The match was fired over the 500 and 600 yards ranges, 10 shots). Although the weather was beautifully fine a rear fishtail wind was at times puzzling, and several promising aggregates were spoilt when the elements beat the coach. The highest aggregates for the day for Greytown were secured by H. R. Feast 93, J. C. Feast 92, H. W. Feast and A. G. Rhodes 91 each. The scores were:—
