POPPY SALES. (“Times-Age” Special.) The sale of poppies at Eketahuna this year realised £lB 7s 6d as against £9 15s 6d in 1937. TABLE TENNIS. The Table Tennis Club successfully opened the season on Thursday when a combined Yankee tournament was played. The final was won by Mr and Miss McGovern from Mr H. Meyers and Miss S. Ross. ST. CUTHBERT’S CHURCH. At the annual meeting of parishioners of St. Cuthbert’s Church the following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—Vicar’s warden, Mr H. E. Greathead; people’s warden, Mr A. D. Murray; vestry, Mesdames AVilson. Macky, Carter, Dr. Simmers, Messrs A. H. Herbert, AV. F. Taylor, R. Y. Boyes, E. H. AV. Kenny, C. Fredricksen, J. R. Bcrney, S. Daniel.
