CARTERTON
(“Times-Age” Special.) LADIES’ GOLF CLUB. A general meeting of the ladies of, the Carterton Golf Club was held in the Club House on Saturday last. The following officers and committee were elected:—Captain, Mrs W. J. Candy; vice-captain, Miss M. Campbell; .secretary, Miss C. Berrill; committee, Mesdames G. Brown, B. Booth, C. Callander, A. T. Murray and J. Steel. Members are asked to arrange their own partners for a Medal Round next Saturday. GOLF PLAY AT TARATAHI. Although the Taratahi links have been open for play for some weeks the season officially began on Saturday when the first round for the captain’s trophy was played. The following are the best scores returned: — C. M. Kiddie, 79, 14, 65; Father A. J. Heavey, 88, 21, 67; L. H. Smart, 87, 20, 67; G. Hart, 84, 16, 68; T. T. Hughes, 85, 17, 68; G.
