CANDIDATE FOR WANGANUI MR H. C. VEITCH SELECTED (By Telegraph—Press Association). WANGANUI, April 29. It was announced tonight that Mr H. C. Veitch, 8.A., 8.C0m., A.R.A.N.Z., Wanganui, has been selected to contest the Wanganui seat at the forthcoming election in the National Party’s interests. There were four nominees, the others being Messrs C. P. Brown, G. H. Trott and W. H. Swanger. Mr Veitch is 34 years of age and was born at Cross Creek. He is the youngest son of Mr and Mrs W. A. Veitch. He was educated at Wanganui primary schools and at the Wanganui Technical College, and graduated from Victoria University College, Wellington. His father represented Wanganui for 25 years in succession in Parliament. RAGLAN SEAT (By Telegraph—Press Association.) HAMILTON, April 29. Mr A. S. Sutherland, farmer, Ngaruawahia, has been selected at National Party candidate for the Raglan seat. Other nominees were Messrs S. C. Macky, R. Cobbe and Major F. C. Fillery. MR. O. C. MAZENGARB CHOSEN By Telegraph.—Press Association. WELLINGTON, April 29. Mr O. C. Mazengarb, a well-known Wellington barrister and solicitor, has been invited to contest the Wellington Suburbs seat at the general election in the interests of the National Party. Having practically completed the selection of its candidates for the rural electorates, the National Party is now giving attention to the choice of suitable candidates for city and suburban seats.
