PASSION FRUIT WINS CUP. By Telegraph.—Press Association. PALMERSTON NORTH, April 29. Heavy rain overnight made the going very holding for the opening of the Dannevirke Racing Club’s annual meeting on the Woodville track today. but the racing was held in fine and mild though overcast weather. There was only a fair attendance and the totalisator turnover of £7199 10s represented a decrease of £2172 10s on the corresponding day last year. Two cautions were administered to jockeys during the day—G. R. Tattersail on Great Legion for interference with White Lady and C. G. Goulsbro on Bold Step for boring in on Mea Mea. Results: —
