TRAVELLING FACILITIES
PROVISION FOR COLLEGE PUPILS. RAIL-CAR UNSATISFACTORY. The opinion that the time had arrived when the board should consider the question of arranging for a conveyance service for pupils attending Wairarapa College from the Lower Valley, was expressed by Mr A. Donald at last night’s meeting of the Wairarapa College Board of Governors. The Principal. Mr G. G. Hancox, reported that the present rail-car facilities provided by the Railways Department were most unsatisfactory. Members agreed with Mr Donald and a special committee, consisting of Messrs L. J. Taylor, P. M. Smith, W. R. Nicol, W. A. Clarke, the Principal and the secretary, Mr H. M. Boddington, was set up to consider the whole question of providing better travelling facilities of pupils from Featherston and intermediate towns. The committee was given power to act.
