LANSDOWNE SCHOOL
BOARD APPROVES PLANS « MODERN OPEN-AIR SCHOOL The plans for the proposed new Lansdowne School have been approved by the Wellington Education Board, and are being placed before the Lansdowne School committee today. The new school, which will be of the openair type, on the line of the one recently constructed in Johnston Street, will replace the present building, which was condemned on account of earthquake damage. It will consist of five class-rooms and an administration block, electrically heated throughout.
It is expected that tenders will be called within a month. It is not proposed to demolish the old buildings before the new school is erected.
