GUN DOGS
WAIRARAPA CLUB. FIRST ANNUAL MEETING. The first annual meeting of the newly-formed Wairarapa Gun Dog Trial Club was held in Masterton last night. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—President, Mr C. E. Grey; vice-presidents, Messrs H. Mackenzie Douglas, G. Vincent, F. Yule, L. Lambess, V. E. Donald, J. Bradbury, F. Izzard, Trevor Beetham, H. T. Byrn, P. J. Borthwick and Dr G. V. F. Anson; joint secretaries, Messrs W. Dale and G. F. Birkett; committee, Messrs H. Smith, C. Smith, K. J. Aplin, L. Merdith, E. C. Fowler, V. Wright, F. Palmer, W. O. Wilton, J. C. Holmes, W. B. Printz, W. Harding, W. D. Moroney; delegate; to N.Z.K.C.G.D.E., Mr L. Meredith. It was decided to hold field trials on May 22 at the trial grounds, Opaki Road. Mr W. D. Moroney was appointed judge.
