STATE THEATRE.
“ROLL ALONG COWBOY.” The programme at the State tonight will include that great attraction “Roll Along Cowboy,” which is packed full of thrills and laughter, starring Smith Ballew and Cecilia Parker. All the colour and flavour of the Western frontier of fifty years ago are an interesting part of Zane Grey’s “Roll Along Cowboy.” Daring cowboys, adventurous cattle drives, thrilling stampedes and desperate gun-bat-tles with outlaw bands are all part of the story which concerns two happy-go-lucky buckaroos who set about to tear open a ring of cattle and land thieves operating in South-western United' States. Smith Ballew, radio’s greatest singing cowboy, starred in the film, sings three new song hits, “Stars Over the Desert,” “Roll Along, Ride ’Em, Cowboy” and “On the Sunny Side of the Rockies,” all of which are destined to be outstanding favourites. The second feature, “Forty Naughty Girls” is a thrilling murder mystery comedy.
