The Misses N. and G. Cameron, Palmerston North, are visiting their sister, Mrs Kebbell, Alfredton. Mrs Farrell, of Taihape, is visiting her parents, Mr and Mrs E. Bright, Snr., Martinborough. Miss Elspeth Barton, of Featherston, left by the Awatea for South Africa on Tuesday. Miss D. Faggett, who has been visiting Mrs Caldwill, Hessey Street, Masterton, has returned to Petone. Miss N. Caldwill, who has been visiting her mother, Mrs Caldwill, Hessey Street, Masterton, has returned to Wellington. Miss Vera Stairmand, of Hastings, who has been the guest of Mrs W. Hoar, Cambridge Terrace, Masterton, has returned home. Mrs S. Hawker, of Masterton, will spedn the week at Carterton with Mrs Hawker snr., leaving on Monday for her new home in Auckland. Miss E. Wyett, of Greytown, has' to her credit three achievements which it would be hard to equal anywhere in the Dominipn. She has attended St. Luke’s Church, Greytown, for sixty years, has lived in the same house for a similar period, and had been secretary of St. Luke’s Ladies’ Guild for 42 years, having only recently resigned that position.

Opportunity was taken at the annual meeting of parishioners of St Luke’s Church, Greytown, to make a presentation to Miss E. Wyett, who had recently resigned after acting as secretary of the Ladies’ Guild after 42 years’ service. Mrs A. York, president of the Guild, presented Miss Wyett with a handsome posy, and one was also presented by Miss Stephens, on behalf of the Vestry. Mrs H. T. Rees, as senior member -of the Guild, handed Miss Wyett a travelling rug, a pair of house shoes and a cup and saucer, as a token of appreciation from Guild members for her long and faithful services. Their wish was that she would be blessed with health and happiness for the future.
