SENT TO TRIAL
ALLEGED NEGLIGENT DRIVING. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) TIMARU, April 27. An accident at Pleasant Point on March 18 as a result of which two men lost their lives, was recalled in the Magistrate’s Court when Bernard James Simmons, aged 23, was charged on two counts that he negligently drove a motor-car thereby causing the deaths of Thomas George Keen and James Samuel Bell. Considerable evidence was heard, after which the accused was committed to the Supreme Court for trial.
