MASTERTON SALE

BIG YARDING OF CATTLE. SHEEP VALUES DROP. There was a small entry of sheep and a large yarding of cattle at the Masterton stock sale today. The market for sheep was dragging and prices dropped on last week's values. Small 2-th ewes made up to 20s 9d and b.f. 2-ths. brought 18s 3d. The cattle sale opened briskly and fat cows were in steady demand, the first yarding selling for £7 17s 6d. There was a scarcity of big bullocks.
