The manuscript of the late Sir James Barrie’s play, “What Every Woman Knows,” produced in 1908, was sold for £3lO at Sotheby's in London. The manuscript reveals that some of the scenes differ widely from the comedy as it was produced. Ottawa, Canada. The British Straits Settlements supplied Canada with 33,817 cwts out of 39,897cwts of palm and palm kernal oil imported in January last. This oil was for use in the manufacture of soap.
