PAHIATUA-MAKURI MEETING. The annual trials of the PahiatuaMakuri Sheep Dog Trial Club were held at Mangahao last week. The results were as follow:— Longhead (Open). —C. Wiffin's (Dannevirke) ‘'Star,” 461- points, 1; W. Thom’s (Hastings) "Hemp,” 46 points, 2; W. Smyth’s (Kumeroa) “Queen,” 44 J points, 3; M. Wilton’s (Masterton) “Chiel,” 44 points, 4. There were 23 competitors. Maiden Dog (Longhead). —W. Thom’s (Hastings) “Hemp,” 46 points, 1; F. Wiltshire's (Pahiatua) “Roy,” 42 points, 2; F. E. Ward’s (Pahiatua) “Dan,” 414 points, 3. 24 entries. Short Head (Open).—C. J. McDonald’s' (Masterton) “Fay,” 56 points, 1; A. Cleghorn’s (Kimbolton) “Sweep,” 55 ' points, 2; M. Wilson’s (Masterton) "Chiel,” 54J points, 3; P.
