NOMINATONS FOR COMING ELECTIONS FOUR RECEIVED TODAY Four nominations were received today for seven vacancies on the Masterton County Council. Those nominated, all sitting members, were: — Opaki Riding: Mr P. R. Welch, nominated by Messrs H. W. Dagg, E. D. McLachlan and W. H. Harcombe. Rangitumau Riding: Mr H. H. Mawley, nominated by Messrs T. A. Brown and G. F. Elliott. Te Whiti Riding: Mr R. E. Gordon Lee, nominated by Mr F. H. Cotter and Mrs E. M. Pike. Uriti Riding: Mr George Moore, nominated by Messrs Hugh Morrison and John Moore. HOSPITAL BOARD County nominations received today for positions on the Wairarapa Hospital Board were: Mr H. H. Mawley, nominated by Messrs T. A. Brown and G. F. Elliott. Mr P. R. Welch, nominated by Messrs J. W. Colquhoun, H. W. Dagg, W. H. Harcombe and Harold Bennett. Mr W. I. Armstrong, nominated by Messrs F. E. Chalmers and P. R. Welch. POWER BOARD The sitting member, Mr J. W. Colquhoun was today nominated by Messrs P. R. Welch and R. E. G. Lee, for reelection as the Masterton representative on the Wairarapa Electric Power Board.
