BUSINESS ON DOMINION EXCHANGES DETAILS OF SATURDAY'S SALES The following sales were recorded on the Dominion Stock Exchanges on Saturday:— WELLINGTON
GOLD MINING RETURNS The following information has been cabled to the London office of the Martha Gold Mining Company (Waihi) Limited:—For the period ended April 9, comprising 20 crushing- days, 17,379 tons of ore were crushed for a result of 3953 fine ounces of gold and 22,555 fine ounces of silver. This includes 85 tons mined from the Grand Junction area, which yielded 15 tine ounces of gold and 75 fine ounces of silver. White’s electric dredge, Barrytown, reports a return for the week ended April 21 of 25 ounces of gold for 65J hours’ work. The New River dredge, during the week ended April 21 worked 148 hours for a recovery of 31 ounces of gold from 9000 cubic yards. Worksop Extended dredge reports a return of 230 z. from 6000 cubic yards in 85 hours. , Nemona dredge reports 716 z. from 15,200 cubic yards worked in 125 hours. The Maori Gully return was 30oz. for 130 hours.
