THREE=ACT PLAY
“THE TWO MRS CARROLLS" ON MAY 4. “The Two Mrs Carrolls,” by Martin Vale, is the choice of the Wairarapa Drama League for production on May 4. This play is full of interest and drama and should grip the attention of the audience from the first scene. It is essentially a study of character, and as such is a far more difficult play than last year’s. However progress is the motto of the Wairarapa Drama League, and it has shown considerable enterprise in tackling this play. The chief parts in the play are those of Geoffrey Carroll and Sally Carroll. The former is being played by Mr Peter Colvin, who brings great thought and intelligent care to the interpretation of an extremely difficult character. Miss Bebe Francis, as the Russian wife of the artist Geoffrey Carroll, is charming and appealing, and shows great talent in her work. No one should miss the play, if only to see how Masterton amateurs can go on improving in this art in which they take such interest.
