The Post Office is advertising a reminder that radio licences were due for renewal on April 1 last. One of the important points about these licences is that they are granted to a particular individual or firm to operate a receiving set only at an address indicated in the licence, so that it does not cover the operation of more than one radio receiver in an apartment house, hotel, flat, or a residence shared by families. However, a licence-holder is not required to make a second payment if he uses a radio in his own car, having already paid for another set in his home.
