COUNTY AFFAIRS
WAIRARAPA SOUTH COUNCIL. CREDIT BALANCE FOR YEAR. The chairman, Mr D. McGregor, presided at the monthly meeting of the Wairarapa South County Council, held at Carterton this morning. An hororarium of £lOO was granted to the chairman in appreciation of his services during the year. It was decided that estimates be prepared for the sealing of Belvedere Road. The treasurer reported a credit balance at March 31 of £4,121 9s 2d. The credit balance to date was £5,184 Ils 9d. Receipts since last meeting amounted to £3,696 9s 2d. The meeting agreed to the request of the Carterton Borough Council to take over the maintenance of boundary roads.
