STATE THEATRE.
“52ND STREET.” New York’s famous night club sector that has become known as the Montmarte of America, provides the inspiration for the intimate film musical “52nd Street,” which will be shown at the State Theatre tonight. The night club entertainers who appear for the first time on the screen in “52nd Street” are Jack White, Rocco and Saulter, Georgie Tapps, Cook and Brown, Jerry Colonna, Al Norman and the 52nd Street Girls. Also in the cast are lan Hunter, Leo Carillo, Pat Paterson, Zasu Pitts, Ella Logan and Sid Silvers. The song hits include “Don’t Save Your Love For A Rainy Day,” “52nd Street,” “I Would Like To See Samoa of Samoa,” “Nothing Can Stop Me Now,” and “Let Your Hair Down.” There is no charge for reserves, ’phone 1275 or 1322. COMING SATUURDAY. “LANCER SPY.” On Saturday there will be shown “Lancer Spy” included in the cast of which is George Sanders, Peter Lowrie, Delores del Rio.
