FURTHER CHARGES LAID IN RUMANIA AGAINST IRON GUARD LEADER ARRESTS FOLLOW DISCOVERY OF ARMS (Recd This Day, 9.45 a.m.) BUCHAREST, April 20. The newspapers published a letter from Codreanu (Leader of the Iron Guard) to Stelescu on the eve of the assassination of M Duca, former Prime Minister. The letter formulated a plan to assassinate two hundred political leaders, including members of the Cabinet. Stelescu demurred, but he was himself assassinated by Codreanu’s followers.
Arrests continue after the discovery of further arms dumps.
