JAPANESE ARREST ITALIAN JOURNALIST. SURVIVOR OF THE PANAY INCIDENT. (Recd This Day, 9.20 a.m.) PEKING, April 20. An Italian journalist named Barzini, on the staff of the “Corriere Della Sera,” who was aboard the American gunboat Panay when she was sunk, has been arrested by Japanese frontier guards at Kupeikow. He was returning after a visit with a party of tourists to Jehol. io which place he was returned and placed in prison. No reason has been given. The British United Press says the authorities considered he was taking too many photographs.
