FARM INSTRUCTORS
OPPOSITIONS ON RESTRICTION TO AGE. “Ridiculous" and "proper rot," were comments made at yesterday's meeting of the Masterton branch of the Farmers’ Union when it was reported that men over 40 years of age were not being considered for appointment as dairy farm instructors. It was decided to send a remit to the inter-provincial conference of the Farmers' Union to the effect that the restrictions on the age of applicants for the position of dairy instructors were not regarded as being in the best interests of the industry.
