ANZAC DAY

TWENTY-THIRD ANNIVERSARY. The twenty-third anniversary of Anzac Day will be observed throughout the Wairarapa on Monday next, when memorial services have been arranged in each of the Wairarapa centres. This day marks New Zealand’s day of National Remembrance of the sacrifices made in the Great War of 19141918. In Masterton, an appropriate service has been arranged in the Park at 11 a.m. to be presided over by the Rev E. J. Rich, C.F., The music will be supplied by the Masterton Municipal Band under Mr G. Hutchinson. After the service the ex-servicemen are to be entertained at morning tea by the ladies of the war time Liverpool Committee and their friends, and a hearty welcome is extended to all ex-servicemen.
