Mrs Akers-Jones, Lower Hutt, has been staying with her mother Mrs J. J. Kennedy, Opaki Road. Mr and Mrs R. T. Macdonald, of Wellington, are the guests of Mrs F. J. Pike, South Belt, Masterton. Mr and Mrs K. Ellison, Hastings, spent the Easter holidays with Mr and Mrs S. R. Gawith, Upper Plain. Mr and Mrs J. B. Thomson, Hastings, have been spending a few days in Masterton. Mr and Mrs J. Wilton, Coramandel street, Wellington, are staying with Mr and Mrs Tankersley, Matahiwi, Mr and Mrs E. K. Eastwood, College Street, Masterton, have returned from a visit to Lake Taupo. Mrs E. G. Webb, of Hataitai, is visiting Carterton and is the guest of Mrs Stubbs, Rhodes Street, Carterton. Mr and Mrs J. S. Nugent, Tokumaru Bay, have been spending Easter with Mr and Mrs W. L. Hunter, College St., Masterton. Mr and Mrs C. Bennett, The Terrace, Lansdowne, who have been staying at Lake Taupo, returned to Masterton last week. Mrs A. B. Smith, of Wellington, Dominion Secretary of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union, and Miss Yolande Smith, were the guests of Mr and Mrs Alec. Donald, “Burnlea,” Kopuaranga, for the Easter vacation. Miss Joan Percy, lady secretary of the Bideford Golf Club since its inception, was farewelled by members during the weekend. Mrs T. H. Bell, ladies’ captain, presented Miss Percy with a leather suitcase. A medal com- , petition for a trophy presented by Mrs ; J.
