YOUNG FARMERS’ CLUBS
SOUTHDOWN JUDGING COMPETITION. WON BY MR A. P. SOUTHEY. Mr Alf P. Southey, of Manaia, Masterton, a member of the Masterton Young Farmers' Club, was successful in winning first place in the Southdown sheep judging competition which was open to all members of Young Farmers' Clubs. Mr Southey also won the open Romney judging competition, held at the Martinborough Horse Sports on March 26. NIREAHA ACTIVITIES At a meeting held at Nireaha it was decided to transfer the Eketahuna Young Farmers' Club to Nireaha, the following executive being appointed: —Advisory president, Mr E. B. Terry; advisory vice-president. Mr A. Golder. Mr B. Morriss and Mr C. Mills; President Mi- R. Lawrence; secretary Mr B. Davidson; management committee, president, secretary, Mr N. Petersen. Mr E. Wright, Mr S. Morris and Mr J. Payne. A team from the Nireaha Young Farmers' Club will compete at the judging competitions at Masterton on April 27.
