MASTERTON STOCK SALE. VALUES RISE SHARPLY. There was a sharp rise in values at today’s Masterton stock sale, due to the recent beneficial rains and a shortness of supply. The quality of the offering was good and the demand fairly brisk throughout. Heavy ewes made from 17s to 19s and prime heavy ewes up to 19s 6d. Ordinary ewes brought from 14s 3d to 16s 6d. Values" .for store wether hoggets ranged from 13s Gd to 18s and for ewe hoggets up to 255. There was a small entry of pigs, and weaners made 10s.
