POKENO BURGLARY

SAFE BLOWN OPEN. By Telegraph—Press Association. AUCKLAND, April 14. Smashing a large plate-glass window, burglars entered the store of the Wallace Supplies, Ltd., Pokeno, early this morning and blew open the safe. Cheques and an amount of silver had been left in the safe, but it is not yet known how much was taken. The explosion was heard by a porter on duty in the railway yards some distatnee away.
