MAHUNGA CLUB. EASTER TOURNAMENT. The Easter tournament of the Mahunga Club opened today in wet weather. The best scores in the qualifying round were: —E. Henderson, 75; J. Thornton, 76; J. Broad, 78; A. E. Friend, 78; D. Cameron, 78; R. Lendrum, 82; R. Boys, 82; T. Nelson, 84; L. Connolly, 84; S. Divers, 87; C. Judd, 86; I. Jones, 94. The best scores in the first stroke handicap played in conjunction with the qualifying round were:—J. Thornton. 66; J. Broad, 67; R. Lendrum, 68; L. Connolly, 68. RIVERSIDE TOURNEY. QUALIFYING ROUNDS PLAYED The Riverside Golf Club's Easter Tournament commenced today. Although considerable rain has fallen in the past few days the links are in excellent order. Qualifying rounds for the Easter Championship and Easter Handicap were completed this morning. A Medal round played in conjunction was won by R. Wellington. The following is the draw for the first rounds. — Championship: J. Bell v. F. Miller; R. Henry v. W. Joy; G. F. Candy v. F. Shearer; R. Wellington v. W. Batty. Easter Handicap: L. F. Gray v. G. Challis; P. S. Dixon v. J. Hume; J. Claridge v. C. Walker; H. Brickman v. O. Hinshilwood. Competitions will be held over the next two days for which post entries will be accepted.
