Messrs Levin and Co., Ltd., have received the following cable from their London agents, dated April 13, 1938: — Frozen meat quotations (prices on a delivered basis, i.e. including storage charges, cartage, market tolls, etc.): — North Island Down lambs, 28/361b5., 7Jd; 36/42, 7 3-Bd. Best North Island crossbred lambs, 28/36, 7Jd; 36/42, 7jd. North Island 2nd quality lambs, average, 30/311b5., 7.', cl. Best North Island wether sheep, under 481b5., 5 7-8 d; 48/56, 5 3-8 d; 56/64, sd; 64/72. 4j'd. North Island ewes, under 481bs„ 4 l-8d: 48/56, 3Jd; 56/64, 3 3-8 d; 64/72, 31 d. New Zealand prime ox beef. 160/220. none offering. Compared with last week's quota-, tions, crossbred lambs, 28/361b5., and second quality lambs were l-8d per lb. higher. Wethers, u/481b5., l-8d per lb. higher; 56/641b5., l-8d per lb. lower. Ewes, 48/641b5., l-8d per lb. lower. Others unchanged. The lamb market continues firm. The mutton market is slightly easier.
