PROTEST BY JAPAN

ALLEGED ABUSE OF FOREIGN FLAGS. PEKING, April 13. At the request of the military authorities the Japanese Embassy has sent a Note to the British and other foreign embassies alleging that the Chinese are using buildings flying foreign flags from which to attack the Japanese,. The Note requests that the foreign embassies demand assurances from the Chinese authorities that the Chinese troops will not use the flags of third Powers and warns ihe Powers that unless the illegal use of flags is stopped the Japanese will not be responsible if foreign flag rights are infringed.
