SOUTH AFRICAN WAR

O WAIRARAPA VETERANS' ASSOCIATION. REUNION IN JUNE. There was a large attendance of members at the annual meeting of the Wairarapa branch of the South African War Veterans’ Association, held last night. The president, Mr H. M. Boddington, occupied the chair. It was decided to forward a letter of sympathy to Mr W. Boyd in his illness and wishing him a speedy recovery. Mr Boddington gave a comprehensive report on the business transacted at the South African War Veterans’ ■ conference, held recently in Wellington. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—President, Mr S. Fletcher; vice-presidents, Messrs J. Barnes, R. Beatty and J. V. Dolan; hon secretary, Mr J. V. Dolan; hon treasurer, Mr H. M. Boddington; committee, Messrs Marsh. Wright, Trass, Barker, Boyd, Beatty, Fletcher and Dolan; trustees of the Benevolent Fund, Messrs Fletcher, Dolan and Boddington. It was decided to hold the annual reunion on June 11.
